New Order are playing Brixton Academy in November as part of a European tour supporting their new album, ‘Music Complete’.
The band — comprising original members Bernard Sumner, Gillian Gilbert, and Stephen Morris, as well as Tom Chapman and Phil Cunningham — perform at the landmark London venue on 16 November 2015.
Tickets are available at Ticketweb from 9am on Friday 10 July.
A fan pre-sale — including special ticket bundles — takes place from 9am on 8 July. Get details here.
Set for release on 25 September, ‘Music Complete’ is the band’s first full studio album since 2005’s ‘Waiting For The Sirens Call’ and the first without estranged bassist Peter Hook. Produced by the band — with some help from Tom Rowlands of The Chemical Brothers and sometime Killers collaborator Stuart Price — the album features three surprise guest appearances.
Brandon Flowers, who named The Killers after the band in New Order’s video for ‘Crystal’, lends his vocals to album closer ‘Superheated’. The original punk rocker Iggy Pop shows up on the brooding ‘Stray Dog’. And La Roux star Elly Jackson features on ‘Tutti Frutti’ and ‘People On The High Line’, while also providing backing vocals on ‘Plastic’.
Long-term collaborator Peter Saville provides art direction.
