Johnny Marr has extended his October 2015 UK tour to include a London show.
The singer and musician will be at The Forum in Kentish Town on 20 October 2015.
“Getting out on a UK tour is exciting for me,” said the musician who first rose to fame as the co-songwriter and guitarist of The Smiths from 1982 to 1987.
“There’s no substitute for going to a show and playing shows. Playing live is what it’s all about.”
Tickets for his London show go on general sale on 12 August 2015 at LiveNation.
Since his groundbreaking work with The Smiths, NME’s 2013 Godlike Genius recipient has been a member of Electronic, The The, Modest Mouse, and The Cribs, as well as a prolific session musician.
Following the 2013 release of his first solo album, ‘The Messenger’, Marr has toured extensively with highlights including three sold-out shows in Manchester; major London dates at The Roundhouse and the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire; as well as festival appearances including Glastonbury, Reading, Leeds, and T in the Park.
Having established himself as a solo artist, Marr released his second solo album, ‘Playland’, in October 2014.
