Massive Attack are back in Brixton next year, playing shows at the O2 Brixton Academy on 3 and 4 February 2016.
The two gigs are part of the Bristol group’s first headline tour in over five years and will follow the release of new music later in 2015.
Tickets for the 2016 tour, which kicks off in Dublin on 19 January and features support from Mercury Prize winners Young Fathers, go on general sale on 9 October 2015.
For access to presale tickets, register at the Massive Attack website before midnight on 6 October.
Massive Attack, featuring Robert “3D” Del Naja and Grant “Daddy G” Marshall, have released five studio albums since forming in 1988 – including 1991’s seminal trip-hop release ‘Blue Lines’ – with sales topping 11 million copies worldwide.
Songs like ‘Teardrop’ and ‘Unfinished Sympathy’ have helped them rack up awards like a Brit Award for Best British Dance Act, two MTV Europe Music Awards, and two Q Awards.
The promised new music will be the first from the duo since 2010’s ‘Heligoland’.
