Son Lux are celebrating their upcoming UK shows with a new version of their next single.
The group, who play London’s Village Underground on 21 October 2015, have teamed up with their support act on most of the forthcoming shows, Olga Bell, to re-record the song ‘Undone’.
The reimagined version, named ‘Redone’, features Bell on vocals and Mutemath’s Darren King on a second drum kit.
Founded by producer-composer Ryan Lott in 2007, Son Lux have collaborated with the likes of Lorde, Sufjan Stevens, Matthew Dear, and Pulitzer Prize winner Caroline Shaw as well as written the score for movies including ‘Paper Towns’ and ‘The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby’.
The group have recently expanded to include guitarist-composer Rafiq Bhatia and drummer Ian Chang. Their latest album, ‘Bones’, is the first to feature this new formation and has already spawned the single ‘Change Is Everything’, nominated for a UK Music Video Award.
In the live arena, the trio Son Lux are renowned for their frenetic shows melding hip-hop, rock, and pop. After slots at this year’s Visions and Green Man festivals, their 21 October Village Underground show is their first London headline gig since last year’s sold out XOYO performance.
