Glaswegian duo Tuff Love return to London early in 2016, following the release of their debut LP, ‘Resort’.
The guitar-pop group, who have just released a video for album track ‘Crocodile’, play London Fields Brewery on 25 February 2016 as part of a run of UK shows.
Directed by Ben Cowie and Alan Cameron of Glaswegian collective Wake Up Advice, the ‘Crocodile’ video uses mirrors, lighting, and kaleidoscopes to “skew the viewer’s perspective and have a bit of fun treading the psychedelic line, without it looking like something straight out the ‘60s.”
The 15-track ‘Resort’, due 29 January, compiles the three EPs released thus far by Julie Eisenstein (guitar, vocals) and Suse Bear (bass, vocals). The pair, who are joined on stage by drummer Iain Stewart, make all their music in Bear’s flat, self-engineering and self-producing everything.
‘Resort’ follows a busy 2015 that saw Tuff Love personally invited to support the reformed Ride on their first UK tour in 20 years and then soul-pop singer Paolo Nutini, at a one-off outdoor show in Glasgow.
The band, who have already played festivals including Glastonbury, T in the Park, Latitude, Wickerman, Indietracks, and Long Division, have just been added to the line-up for The Great Escape Festival in May 2016.
