Lust For Youth are returning with a new album and a new UK tour.
The three piece from Copenhagen, who release ‘Compassion’ on 18 March 2016, play Moth Club in London on 22 April.
‘Compassion’, featuring the club anthem ‘Stardom’, builds on the pop sensibilities explored on the group’s previous release. Unlike the “dark, cold, atonal, tormented, lonely, and lower than lo-fi” sound of early Lust For Youth releases, 2014’s buoyant ‘International’ found Hannes Norrvide, Malthe Fischer, and Loke Rahbek channeling the likes of early Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, and New Order.
The resulting success — sold out clubs, international tours — has inspired the Danish trio to continue down that path, as evidenced by their recent hit and first single from ‘Compassion’, ‘Better Looking Brother’.
The forthcoming album itself “restates beauty for a time of crisis and clickbait”.
