The Last Shadow Puppets are playing two huge London shows at Alexandra Palace this summer.
Following their sold-out show at Hackney Empire on 1 April, Miles Kane and Alex Turner return to the capital on 15 and 16 July 2016.
The duo’s first live dates since 2008 support the release of their second album, ‘Everything You’ve Come To Expect’.
Out on 1 April, the follow up to ‘The Age Of The Understatement’ reunites Kane and Arctic Monkeys frontman Turner with producer/drummer James Ford and string arranger Owen Pallett. Zachary Dawes of Mini Mansions joined the recording sessions at Malibu’s Shangri La Studio on bass.
Preceded by the single ‘Bad Habits’, ‘Everything You’ve Come To Expect’ is billed as a “more open and expansive work than its predecessor”, by turns “soaring, snarling and, breathlessly seductive”.
Friends since Arctic Monkeys toured with Kane’s previous group, The Little Flames, the duo originally bonded over their shared love of Scott Walker, early David Bowie, and David Axelrod.
Tickets to The Last Shadow Puppets shows at Alexandra Palace on 15 and 16 July are available now.
