She Drew The Gun have announced a string of live dates around the UK to coincide with the release of their debut album, ‘Memories of The Future’.
Fronted by songwriter Louisa Roach, the Liverpool band reach The Victoria in London on 28 April 2016.
Specialising in dreamy, lyrical psych-pop that’s been compared to PJ Harvey and Portishead, She Drew The Gun began as a solo project in 2013 with Roach performing at various open mic events and acoustic gigs. Since then the group has gained the attention of tastemakers like Steve Lamacq, performed a BBC Introducing live session at Maida Vale, supported Fink on a month-long UK and European tour, and evolved into a live quartet featuring drummer Sian Monaghan, guitarist Jack Turner, and keyboard player Jenni Kickhefer.
Now their debut album on the way, the result of Roach meeting The Coral’s James Skelly. With Skelly producing, the two began working on her songs at Liverpool’s Parr Street studios in 2015 and what was originally intended as an EP grew into the full-length ‘Memories of The Future’.
