The Virginmarys rocking London’s Blackheart

The Virginmarys are playing an intimate London show to mark the release of their latest album.

The Macclesfield band play Blackheart on 9 May 2016, three days after ‘Divides’ hits the street. They’re also appearing at Camden Rocks Festival on 5 June and the debut Stone Free Festival at The O2 on 18 June.

The album, the follow-up to 2013’s ‘King Of Conflict’, was produced by Gil Norton, best known for his work with Pixes and Foo Fighters. The singles ‘Into Dust’ and and ‘Motherless Land’ showcase the trio’s anthems that blend modern punk with early ‘70s British rock.

Guitarist/vocalist Ally Dickaty, drummer Danny Dolan, and bassist/vocalist Matt Rose, who were named best breakthrough act at the 2013 Classic Rock Awards, have just completed a 12-date US tour.

  • ‘Divides’ is released on 6 May 2016.
