Pixies bring ‘Head Carrier’ to Brixton

Just weeks after a sold-out Brixton Academy show, Pixies have announced their return to the venue for two gigs in winter.

The band, who also revealed that their new album ‘Head Carrier’ will be released on 30 September, play the iconic London venue on 28 and 29 November 2016.

Tickets go on sale on 22 July 2016 at Pixiesmusic.com.

The new album, preceded by the single ‘Um Chagga Lagga’, is their second since reuniting in 2004. Recording took place with Killing Joke and Royal Blood producer Tom Dalgety at Rak Studios in London during February and March.

The 12-track collection is their first to feature bassist Paz Lenchantin, who joined the Boston band’s touring lineup in January 2014 and is now a permanent member alongside founders Black Francis, Joey Santiago, and David Lovering.

Pixies’ Brixton Academy shows are part of the group’s 2016-2017 global tour that kicks off in Vienna on 15 November.
