Avenged Sevenfold are storming back into London in 2017.
The American rock band, joined on the bill by Disturbed and In Flames, play The O2 Arena on 21 January.
Tickets go on sale on 29 July 2016 at theo2.co.uk.
Avenged Sevenfold – M. Shadows, Zacky Vengeance, Synyster Gates, Johnny Christ, and Brooks Wackerman – first gained international notoriety with their 2005 album ‘City Of Evil’ and its single ‘Bat Country’. The self-titled follow-up, released two years later, featured the hits ‘Almost Easy’, ‘Afterlife’, and ‘Scream’ and went on to sell over one million copies.
‘Nightmare’ went one better. On its release in 2010, the band’s fifth studio album entered the Billboard album chart at #1 and continued to sell thanks to the chart-topping singles ‘Nightmare’, ‘So Far Away’, and ‘Welcome To The Family’.
Following an appearance as characters in 2012’s ‘Call of Duty Black Ops 2’, and writing the song ‘Carry On’ for the record-breaking game, the band from Huntington Beach, California returned to the top of the US album charts with ‘Hail To The King’ in 2013.
Formed in Chicago in 1996, Disturbed – David Draiman (vocals), Dan Donegan (guitar), Mike Wengren (drums), and John Moyer (bass) – have sold 12 million albums globally since breaking out with their quadruple-platinum 2000 debut ‘The Sickness’. Following a four-year hiatus the Grammy-nominated band released their sixth studio album, ‘Immortalized’, last year. It was the group’s fifth to debut at #1 on the Billboard Top 200.
