Brighton-based four-piece Breathe Panel are gearing up for the release of their first single as well as a London gig with Honeyblood.
The band, who make their recorded debut with ‘On My Way’, play The Shacklewell Arms on 4 October 2016.
The single, available via digital platforms and as a limited two-track 7” from indie stores, is accompanied by a psychedelic video fittingly portraying the band members in motion.
“As the song is called ‘On My Way’ it was important to us that the video depicted us being on our ways, be that walking or driving,” they explain. “Think of it as a three minute episode of ‘Coast’.”
And the coast is exactly where Breathe Panel had their start. With the hopes of making music their future, childhood friends Josh Tyler and Harry Vick swapped Devon for Brighton, where they soon met Hertfordshire-raised Nick Green. Sharing a love of drone music, krautrock, and West Coast Americana guitarist Tyler and singer-guitarist Green soon began writing and recording their own songs.
With their influences including Real Estate, Deerhunter, and Allah Las, the duo recruited Vick on bass and Benjamin Reeves on drums. Since forming, they’ve shared stages with the likes of The Big Moon, Quilt, and No Joy.
