Biffy Clyro make their return to London at the end of the year.
Ahead of their headline performances at Reading and Leeds Festival this weekend, the Scottish trio have announced a winter UK tour that will stop off at The O2 Arena on 14 December 2016.
Support comes from US rockers Brand New.
Tickets go on sale on 2 September at 9am.
The tour will end a successful 2016 for singer/guitarist Simon Neil, bassist James Johnston, and drummer Ben Johnston. Their seventh studio album, ‘Ellipsis’, topped the UK charts on its release last month and has already spawned the singles ‘Wolves of Winter’, ‘Animal Style’, and ‘Howl’.
Recorded in Los Angeles with producer Rich Costey – who’s worked with everyone from Sigur Ros to Fiona Apple – the album draws inspiration from influences as diverse as Deafheaven, DJ Arca, and Tears For Fears’ album ‘Songs From The Big Chair’.
It follows 2013’s double album ‘Opposites’, their first to top the UK charts, that allowed them to headline festivals like Isle of Wight, Reading, Leeds, Radio 1’s Big Weekend, and T in the Park for the first time.
