Kings of Leon are heading to Hyde Park in 2017.
The US band, who recently played a show at intimate London venue 229 Great Portland Street, are headlining British Summer Time festival on 6 July 2017.
Tickets to the show, billed as their only UK festival appearance of the year, go on general sale on 30 November.
“It’s always a pleasure to party with our amazing fans at Hyde Park,” says drummer Nathan Followill.
The group, whose seventh album ‘WALLS’ topped the UK charts on its release in October, will be supported at Hyde Park by Pixies, who’ll be playing their biggest London show to date, and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats.
Kings of Leon – Caleb (guitar/vocals), Nathan (drums), Jared (bass), and Matthew Followill (guitar) – have sold over 18 million albums and 24 million singles worldwide since making their debut in 2003 with the album ‘Youth & Young Manhood’.
Follow ups ‘Aha Shake Heartbreak’ (2004), ‘Because of the Times’ (2007), ‘Only by the Night’ (2008), ‘Come Around Sundown’ (2010), ‘Mechanical Bull’ (2013), and now ‘WALLS’ all topped the UK albums charts and have helped the group amass four Grammy Awards, three NME Awards and two Brit Awards.
