Nick Hakim is in demand. With his February show at The Lexington selling out within a few days, the Brooklyn-based singer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer has added a second London date to his upcoming European tour.
So, now you can catch the Washington, D.C. native at Omeara on 19 April 2017. Tickets are available now.
Hakim, who attended the Berklee College of Music, is due to release his debut full-length album, ‘Green Twins’, in the spring. The LP was recorded over the course of a year as he experimented with analogue equipment in local studios and his bedroom, and the lo-fi homemade demos form the basis of several tracks on the final release. Ranging from psychedelia to folk, Hakim’s songs reveal his diverse influences which include Curtis Mayfield, Marvin Gaye, MF Doom, Madlib, DC punk, and South American folk.
‘Green Twins’ comes three years after the release of his two-part EP ‘Where Will We Go’. Long out of print, the 12-inch will be reissued in March on milky white vinyl with new interior art.
