Leif Vollebekk, who releases his new album on 24 February, is headed to the UK for a series of UK dates in March and April with Gregory Alan Isakov.
Vollebekk plays Islington Assembly Hall on 3 April.
The Montreal singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has released three songs from ‘Twin Solitude’ ahead of its release. ‘All Night Sedans’, ‘Elegy’, and ‘Into The Ether’ showcase an album heavily inspired by small but impactful vignettes from a life on the road – like a highway sign or a TV show.
With much of the LP coming to him in just one sitting, the writing of ‘Twin Solitude’ followed a difficult period where his own songs didn’t feel right to him.
Vollebekk made his debut with 2010’s ‘Inland’ but truly broke out with his 2013 follow-up, ‘North Americana’, which led to sharing stages with the likes of William Fitzsimmons, Sinéad O’Connor, and Beth Orton.
