Tonstartssbandht (tahn-starts-bandit) are touring the UK in the run up to the release of their new album.
‘Sorcerer’, the Florida/New York duo’s first full-length studio album since 2011’s ‘Now I Am Become’, is out on 24 March; their UK trek kicks off at MOTH Club on 20 February.
Preceded by the almost-10-minute title track, the LP features two other – even more expansive – noise rock narratives from brothers Andy and Edwin White.
With Andy on guitar and vocals and Edwin on drums and backing vocals, the siblings recorded the album live in the living room of their former apartment in Brooklyn, picking up ambient sounds like the passing train, a police car siren, and the hiss of a water heater. Additional vocals were added after the Whites moved back to their hometown of Orlando, with lyrics influenced by relapse, recovery, and lost relationships.
Tickets to their MOTH Club show are available now.
