Michael Schenker is bringing his “Michael Schenker Fest”, reuniting the legendary guitarist with the original MSG vocalists, to the UK.
The four shows, featuring the singers Gary Barden, Graham Bonnet, and Robin McAuley, kick off at Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 2 November, before reaching Sheffield, Manchester, and Hull.
“It’s an amazing feeling to have all of my M.S.G. Family from the ’80s performing together and especially with Graham Bonnet, who I never got to play any concerts after our ‘Assault Attack’ album that was originally released in 1982,” says Schenker.
“Fortunately, being able to have the participation of original M.S.G. members such as Gary Barden, Chris Glen (bass), and Ted McKenna (drums) being part of it, and somehow, to perform with Robin McAuley and Steve Mann (guitar, keyboards) again as well, is pretty awesome.”
Don’t take his word for it: the Michael Schenker Fest experience is captured on a live album recorded in Tokyo, set for release on 24 March.
