The War On Drugs are heading back to London.
The US band, who last performed in the capital at Brixton Academy in 2015, are scaling up to Alexandra Palace for their return visit on 14 November.
Tickets for the show – which forms part of a two-month tour taking in North America, Europe, and the UK – go on general sale on 5 May.
Fronted by Adam Granduciel, The War On Drugs have just released the 11-minute song ‘Thinking of a Place’, their first original, new material since 2014’s album ‘Lost In The Dream’ topped several year-end best of charts. The track, issued to coincide with Record Store Day, is their debut release for Atlantic Records and was produced by Granduciel, with recording and mixing handled by Warpaint collaborator Shawn Everett.
Singer and guitarist Granduciel will be joined on the road by longtime members bassist Dave Hartley, keyboard player Robbie Bennett, drummer Charlie Hall, guitarist Anthony LaMarca, and saxophonist Jon Natchez.
