Ailbhe Reddy is back with a new single (‘Fingertips’), a new EP (‘Attach To Memory’), and a new tour.
The Irish singer is promoting her latest release with shows across Ireland, UK, France, and Germany, including festival appearances at The Great Escape, Cambridge Folk Festival, Body & Soul, and Electric Picnic. She’s stopping off in London too, playing The Slaughtered Lamb on 24 May.
“This EP is an evolution of my first – ‘Hollowed Out Sea’, says Reddy, who cites Liane La Havas, Fiona Apple, and Hundred Waters as influences. “Most of these new songs are more up-tempo which shows the fuller sound of my live shows.”
The upbeat ‘Fingertips’ is a case in point.
“Lyrically it focuses female sexuality, which is a topic I wanted to push forward and explore from a position of strength and confidence,” she explains.
