Gold Class are back in the UK this month, armed with a new single, ‘Twist In The Dark’.
The Melbourne post-punks headline Camden Assembly on 16 May as part of a national tour that includes stops at Brighton, Leeds, Cambridge, and Bristol. Tickets are available here.
“‘Twist In The Dark’ was definitely written thinking about the live show, wanting to push everything further. And I guess a part of that was not hiding myself at all in the words,” says singer Adam Curley of the song, which was produced by The Drones’ Gareth Liddiard and offers the first look at Gold Class’ second LP.
“It’s a good introduction to the new record, I think, to some of the sounds and ideas on there,” the frontman adds.
The new album will follow the quartet’s 2015 debut, ‘It’s You’, which was shortlisted for the Australian Music Prize and led to extensive touring through Europe and the USA during 2016.
