Ruby Boots is headed to the UK, supporting fellow country-revivalist Nikki Lane at three shows.
Their Highway Queen Tour kicks off at Bush Hall in London on 6 June. Tickets are now available.
Now based in Nashville, the Australian-born singer-songwriter has broken into the capital of country with her songs that blend Americana, rock, folk, and blues. Little surprise then that her debut LP, ‘Solitude’, has drawn comparisons to albums by the likes of Lucinda Williams and Shovels & Rope.
“Every day I wake up hungry for it, it’s what I live for,” says Ruby of her music. “I’m extremely excited and very fortunate to be able to do it. As each day passes I’m more and more grateful for it and it keeps growing.
“All these beautiful things keep happening and you realise how lucky you are – though I believe you have to create your own luck.”
Ruby, who has shared stages with names like Father John Misty, Justin Townes Earle, Shakey Graves, Kris Kristofferson, and Tim Rogers, releases her second album later this year.
