Canadian blues rock guitarist and singer-songwriter JW Jones is headed to the UK for an 18-date UK tour.
The live shows, including a performance at Borderline on 2 December, are in support of his new album, ‘High Temperature’, which is released on 20 October 2017.
Produced by Nashville-based Colin Linden, the follow up to 2014’s Juno-nominated ‘Belmont Boulevard’ finds Jones exploring new musical territories.
“JW is ready to take his place among the greater blues-based musicians of the 21st century,” says Linden, an eight-time Juno and Grammy winner who is also the musical director for the TV series ‘Nashville’. “It’s an absolute pleasure to have worked on the new album.”
Recorded before drummer Will Laurin joined Jones’ band, ‘High Temperature’ features his touring bassist Laura Greenberg, plus session musicians who’ve worked with the likes of Jack White, Tom Jones, Beck, Brian Setzer, Emmylou Harris, and Robert Plant.
