X Ambassadors are heading to London after playing the Radio 1/NME stage at this year’s Reading and Leeds Festival.
The US trio, who’ve just released their single ‘Ahead Of Myself’, play ULU on 29 August.
The new song, co-written with songwriter, producer, and musician Scott Harris (known for his hits with Shawn Mendes and Chainsmokers), is the lead single from their forthcoming second album.
The follow-up to their debut album ‘VHS’ has the band (brothers Sam and Casey Harris and college friend Adam Levin) exploring a more soulful sound.
“These are influences we’ve had forever — artists like Ray Charles, Joe Cocker, Otis Redding, and The Band — but I think I held back a lot on the last record,” says Sam. “I was so focused on coming up with something that would really open doors for us that I forgot to use my voice to its fullest extent.”
