Human attention spans are shorter than ever, shorter even than the average goldfish. And, into a world where the average person loses focus after eight seconds, Deer Tick released two albums simultaneously. That’s 20 songs spanning 71 minutes – and two very distinct moods. ‘Vol. 1’ was all acoustic guitars and intimate vocals, ‘Vol. 2’ gritty garage rock.
“Every album we’ve put out has had its manic moments in one way or another. I felt good enough about everything that I was writing to think that we could truly separate our two big interests: quiet and loud,” explained frontman John McCauley when the LPs dropped in September 2017.

“The pursuit of perfection in art is a completely futile waste of time because there is no yardstick to measure an art,” reasons Dan Patlansky. “What is the perfect art? It’s in the eye of the beholder, I suppose.”
The blues-rock musician is explaining why his new LP’s called ‘Perfection Kills’.
“It’s the perfect way to describe the album,” he continues, “because that was the concept I had: I wanted a more organic, raw feel going through it.”

I’m With Her, the band of Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz, and Aoife O’Donovan, are headed to London in support of their full-length debut, ‘See You Around’.
Although their 30 January show at Bush Hall is already sold out, the trio will be back on 17 May at Union Chapel.

Henry Green has revealed his debut album, shared a new single, and announced a headline London show.
The electronic artist, who’s played shows with London Grammar and Nick Mulvey and had his cover of MGMT hit ‘Electric Feel’ remixed by Kygo, is releasing ‘Shift’ on 30 March and plays Corsica Studios on 3 May.
The single ‘Another Light’ is out now.
